Lovely lovely Bristol. I spent my placement year here and tried to do as much exploring as I could. There are so many hidden spots and different areas with their own vibe and feeling.
Amazing streetfood. Every stall bangs.
Reasonably priced, unreasonably tasty burgers.
Good Italian food.
Street filled with pubs. Small Bar, Beer Emporium - The Apple at the end has really strong cider and a waterfront view.
Cheap pub in city centre.
Cosy cat pub. Small place that gets busy so recommend going at a less common time.
Incredible beer garden.
Live the Skin's life and check out the awesome view here.
Cool spot to rent DVDs. Hosts movie nights if you are keen and good place to get unique recommendations or if you are looking for something hard to find.
Unfortunately the £5 book shop (was £3 when I arrived in Bristol!) but still good value for money. They sell excess stock so you can find new books for a great price here.
Its SECRET! Easy to miss cafe with a lovely garden.
The first thing that comes up when you look up 'Bristol things to do'. There for a good reason.
Across the bridge are some nice woods to walk through. A nice route is to walk to the end and loop back alongside the Avon. Lots of cool art on the way.
Grand estate with deer. Site of Bristol Balloon Festival, Love Saves the Day Festival.
Well-kept botanical gardens. Free for students.
Cute farm and cuter animals.
Goats and views.
Not a great 'beach' but easy to get to on the train and cool view of Wales.
Concert hall.
Interesting city an hour away.
Gorgeous compact city with plenty to see over the course of a day.
Seaside town.
