4(1/2) HOURS 🃏
Card game made on a 4(1/2) hour coach ride
Prep:
- Remove Jokers and Kings
- Start with 5 cards + 1 outward facing that the player holding never sees until the end
Win conditions:
- 4 of a kind
- Cards in goal pile have value equivalent to the sum of the values of the outward facing cards (Can only say stop after 2 cards are in their goal pile)
- If both players have the same value in their goal pile at game end, see who has more of the same suits as the outwards facing cards
Turn-based
- Players will have a goal pile and there will be a stack that piles up in the middle as well as the remaining cards being face down in another pile next to that
On each turn players can:
- Place a card and ask if the value of their outwards card is higher or lower than the placed card
- Take the top card from middle pile or from the stack - if they do this they can directly place this card in the middle or their goal pile too
- Place a card in the goal pile
- Place a jack and take a card from the other players hand
- Place a queen and change a card in their pile with the other players outward facing card
- Swap one card in their goal pile with a card in their hand
The other player can:
- Respond higher or lower (must be truthful)
- Refuse to respond but give the other player two of their cards
- They are not allowed to respond if the card is the same value as the outward and must hand the other player a card - unless they have run out of cards to respond with
- If the player has placed a card that is equivalent in value to their outwards facing card, the player must give the first player two cards. The exception to this rule is if they do not have two cards spare in their hand in which case they must respond letting the first player know their placed card is equivalent in value to their outwards card
Special cards (queen and jack)
-
A player can place a queen and change a card in their pile with the other players outward facing card
-
The other player can respond with another queen which will cancel this move, they will also be allowed to peek at their own card after
-
The first player can respond with a queen again to do the same
-
The other player can respond with the final queen to do the same a final time
-
The queen has a value of 12 if it is outward facing
-
A player can place a jack to take a card from the other players hand
-
The jack has a value of 11 if it is outward facing
